SharePoint Server Properties (General)

Use this dialog box to manage the SharePoint Server properties.

Client Name

Displays the name of the client computer on which this Agent is installed.


Displays the identity of the Agent that is installed on the client computer.

Installed date

Displays the date on which the Agent was installed or upgraded on the client computer.

SharePoint Administrator Account

Displays the SharePoint Administrator Account that has required rights to create and modify SharePoint databases. This account will be used for data protection and recovery operations.

Change Account

Click to change the account information associated with this agent, as follows:

  • For agents with an SharePoint Administrator/SSO Account, click and populate the resulting dialog box only if you changed the SharePoint Administrator/SSO Account and it now differs from the one displayed in the SharePoint Administrator/SSO Account field.

SSO Account

Displays the SSO Administrator account for the single sign-on service on this SharePoint Server.

SharePoint Server Name

Displays the name of the SharePoint Server that is installed on the client computer. Use this space to modify this server name if the name displayed is incorrect (e.g., not the same as the Client name or Host name).

SharePoint Version

Use this list to select the appropriate SharePoint Server version.


Use this field to enter a description about the entity. This description can include information about the entity's content, cautionary notes, etc.

Index Backup/Restore path

The UNC path for a shared network folder to temporarily store the site index during backup and restore. There should be enough space available on the share for the index to be temporarily stored.

For a SharePoint All-in-One Server, the Index path must be local, not a UNC path.

If SQL Snap feature is not enabled, lock site collection for write access during Site Collection backups

This option is selected by default. Clear this option when Site Collection should remain in read and write mode during backups. Clearing this option is not recommended for potential impact to backup integrity.

Exclude Content Databases

This option is selected by default and it allows to exclude the Content Databases from getting backed up during Database restores. It is recommended to use SQL Server iDataAgent to backup the Content Databases.

Clearing that option will cause databases to be pulled over the network from SQL Server

Enable Offline Mining

Select this option to browse and restore SharePoint document and picture library files from an offline database. When selected, the Offline Mining Enabler for SharePoint license is then consumed.
