Client Computer Properties (Content Indexing)
Use this tab to establish content indexing options. Note that all the options described in this help may not be available and only the options displayed in the dialog box are applicable to the agent for which the information is being displayed.
Enable Content Indexing
Specifies whether content indexing is enabled or not.
When enabled, the Content Indexing Engine will content index the data associated with the client if content indexing is enabled in the storage policies associated with the subclients within the client. (If necessary, you can exclude certain subclients from being content indexed from the storage policies associated with the client. This option is available in the Subclient Association dialog box which is accessible from the Storage Policy Properties (Content Indexing) tab.
Once enabled, data from subsequent data protection operations for supported agents will be content indexed.
Note that when you enable this option a Content Index Client license will be consumed.
