E-Mail & Web Server Configuration (Web Server)
Use this dialog box to define the default URL for reports, define the URL for online help, specify an alternate Web server for downloading updates, and specify an alternate computer as the Web Server.
This link provides direct access to the latest version of Books Online from the documentation website.
Report Default URL
You can use this option to specify the URL used to access CommCell Console reports.
The default report URL is automatically configured to use the CommServe computer URL. If the Internet Information Services (IIS) port number on the CommServe computer is different from the port number in the default report URL, then you must change the default report URL to match. Also, if you need to use an alternate Web Server to view reports, you must change the default report URL to match the alternate Web Server URL and IIS port number.
If the Report URL or IIS port number do not match the CommServe computer URL or the alternate Web Server URL, reports do not open.
Use Alternate URL for Online Help
Select this option if you want to use a downloaded copy of Documentation for online help. Then, enter the URL of the offline Documentation site as follows:
hostname is the name of the server hosting the offline Documentation.
port is the port number specified when setting up the Documentation web site for offline access. The default port number is 8080.
Important: After you enter the URL, click OK and then restart the CommCell Console.
Use Alternate Web Server URL for Add-in
Select this option if you want to use an alternate Web URL for downloading updates for the Outlook Add-In and Lotus Notes Client Add-In. This URL must connect to a client computer with the CommCell Console installed and a web alias configured. Type the URL in the space provided.
Use Alternate Web Server
If you cannot use Internet Information Services (IIS) on the CommServe computer, you can use this option to configure another computer installed with a CommCell Console and IIS as an alternate Web Server for viewing CommCell Console reports.
For instructions on configuring an alternate computer as the IIS source, see Configuring an Alternate Computer.
If you configure an alternate Web Server, then you must also change the default report URL to match the URL and IIS port number on the alternate Web Server. Use the fields below to add the name of the computer, non-default IIS port number, and alias name for the alternate Web Server.
