Restore Options (Site Content Databases)

Use this dialog box to select the restore options for the Site Content Databases.

Virtual Server

Displays the name of the virtual server to which the Site Content Database will be added. You can use this space to change this name.

Database Server

Displays the name of the server that holds the SharePoint databases. You can use this space to change this name.

Database Name

Displays the name of the database.

Restore Defaults

Click to undo any changes made to the fields.

Database file(s) location on the destination server

You can use this space to specify a path on the destination server for the database file(s), when performing a cross-machine restore.

Log file(s) location on the database server

You can use this space to specify a path on the destination server for the log file(s), when performing a cross-machine restore.

Browse

Click to browse the file system and find a specific path for database / log file(s) on the destination server.

The two Browse buttons are applicable only if the SQL Databases are:

  • backed up using the SharePoint iDataAgent
  • restored to another All-in-One server

Advanced

Click to display the Advanced Restore Options screen.

Save As Script

Click to open the Save As Script dialog, which allows you to save this operation and the selected options as a script file (in XML format). The script can later be executed from the Command Line Interface using qoperation execute command.

When you save an operation as a script, each option in the dialog will have a corresponding XML parameter in the script file. When executing the script, you can modify the value for any of these XML parameters as per need.
