Cluster Configuration - Support

The following table lists the supported cluster types for each component. In addition, the following components are also supported on clusters:

  • CommServe
  • MediaAgent

For Unix operating systems, PowerHA for AIX (formerly HACMP), HP ServiceGuard, Linux, Sun Solaris and Veritas clusters are supported.

In general, clusters are supported if the operating system supports clustering. Hence, this list does not include information on specific cluster versions or operating systems.

Citrix Xen

In a Xen cluster, virtual machines are supported by installing the Virtual Server Agent on all physical nodes of the cluster.

Microsoft Hyper-V

In a Hyper-V cluster, virtual machines are protected by installing the Virtual Server iDataAgent on all physical nodes of the cluster.
