E-Mail & Web Server Configuration - Internet Gateway

Use this dialog box to define a client computer as an internet gateway specific operations, such as downloading updates and packages.

Internet Gateway for Download and Upload

Allows you to specify the client computer that is used as a gateway to download and upload information when the CommCell computer does not have access to the Internet. Only clients that are connected to the Internet appear in the list.

Use Internet Gateway for Diagnostics and Usage

When selected, uses the specified client computer as a gateway to download scripts from and upload collected data to the Cloud Metrics Reporting Server.

Use Internet Gateway for Metrics Reporting

When selected, uses the specified client computer as a gateway to download scripts from and upload collected data to the Enterprise Metrics Reporting Server.

Use Internet Gateway for Download Software

When selected, uses the specified client computer as a gateway to download updates and packages from the FTP site. During this process, the software is downloaded to a temporary location on the client and transferred to the CommServe cache.

We recommend using this option when the CommServe computer has no internet connectivity.

Use HTTP Proxy Server

When selected, allows you to specify the proxy server, proxy port number, and user credentials for uploading files to an HTTP Web site. If you change these settings, you must log out of Web Console and then log in again.

  • Proxy Server

    Allows you to specify the IP address of the proxy server used to send log files.

  • Proxy Port

    Allows you to specify the port number on the proxy server used to send log files.

  • Use Authentication

    When selected, allows you to specify user credentials for logging into the proxy server.

    • User Name

      Allows you to specify a user account name for the proxy server.

    • Password

      Allows you to specify the password associated with the user name.

    • Confirm Password

      Allows you to verify the password associated with the user name.
