Configuring SnapProtect Proxy

You can use an existing client or a new client to configure the SnapProtect proxy for disaster recovery.

To create and configure SnapProtect proxy on a new client, see Set up SnapProtect proxy.


To configure SnapProtect proxy on an existing client:

  1. From the CommCell Browser, right-click the client computer to be used as a SnapProtect proxy and select Properties.
  2. In the Client Computer Properties dialog box, click Advanced.
  3. On the Firewall Configuration tab, select the Configure Firewall Settings check box and click Advanced.

    A warning message is displayed.

  4. On the Options tab, select the This computer is in DMZ and will work as a proxy checkbox.
  5. On the Incoming Connections tab, click Add.
  6. From the From list, select the CommServe_client_name.
  7. From the State list, select RESTRICTED and click OK.
  8. Click OK to close the Client Computer Properties dialog box.
