Collecting Data - BackupExec

To collect data from your BackupExec servers, you must run the script that you downloaded.

To collect BackupExec data from a Windows machine:

  1. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the location in which you saved the edc_backupexec .zip file.
  2. Copy the edc_backupexec.bat, and then paste the edc_backupexec.bat script into any directory on the BackupExec server.
  3. From the command line in the BackupExec server, run the following command:

    edc_backupexec.bat

    A .zip file of the output is saved on the BackupExec server.

  4. If you have not already done so, log into the Cloud Services site. For instructions, see Logging into Cloud Services EDC.
  5. Click the BackupExec tab.
  6. Under Upload Data, click Upload Now.

    The Upload Files dialog box appears.

  7. In the Company box, enter the name of your organization, and then click Add Files.
  8. In the Choose file to upload box, enter the location of the .zip output file.
  9. Click Submit.

Collecting Data - NetBackup

To collect data from your backup vendor, you must run the script that you downloaded.

To collect NetBackup data from a Windows machine:

  1. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the location in which you saved the edc_nbu .zip file.
  2. Copy the edc_nbu.bat script and SQL folder, and then paste the edc_nbu.bat script and SQL folder into any directory on the NetBackup server.
  3. From the command line in the NetBackup server, run the following command:

    edc_nbu.bat

    A .zip file of the output is saved on the NetBackup server.

  4. If you have not already done so, log into the Cloud Services site. For instructions, see Logging into Cloud Services EDC.
  5. Click the NBU tab.
  6. Under Upload Data, click Upload Now.

    The Upload Files dialog box appears.

  7. In the Company box, enter the name of your organization, and then click Add Files.
  8. In the Choose file to upload box, enter the location of the .zip output file.
  9. Click Submit.

Collecting Data - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM)

  1. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the location in which you saved the edc_tsm .zip file.
  2. Copy the edc_tsm.bat script, and then paste the edc_tsm.bat script into the Tivoli Storage Manager server baclient directory.

    For example:

    c:\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\baclient

  3. From the command line in the Tivoli Storage Manager server, run the following command:

    edc_tsm.bat <TSM_login_id> <TSM_login_password> <TSM_server_name> <Output_Directory>

    A .zip file of the output is saved to the output directory that you specify.

  4. If you have not already done so, log into the Cloud Services site. For instructions, see Logging into Cloud Services EDC.
  5. Click the TSM tab.
  6. Under Upload Data, click Upload Now.

    The Upload Files dialog box appears.

  7. In the Company box, enter the name of your organization, and then click Add Files.
  8. In the Choose file to upload box, enter the location of the .zip output file.
  9. Click Submit.

Collecting Data - EMC Networker

  1. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the location in which you saved the edc_networker .zip file.
  2. Copy the edc_networker.bat script, and then paste the edc_networker.bat script to a directory on the Networker server.
  3. From the command line in the Networker server, run the following command:

    edc_networker.bat <Output_Directory>

    A .zip file of the output is saved to the output directory that you specify.

  4. If you have not already done so, log into the Cloud Services site.

    For instructions, see Logging into Cloud Services EDC.

  5. Click the EMC Networker tab.
  6. Under Upload Data, click Upload Now.

    The Upload Files dialog box appears.

  7. In the Company box, enter the name of your organization, and then click Add Files.
  8. In the Choose file to upload box, enter the location of the .zip output file.
  9. Click Submit.

Collecting Data - Veeam

To collect data from your Veeam servers, you must run the script that you downloaded.

To collect Veeam data from a Windows machine:

  1. Open Windows Explorer, navigate to the location in which you saved the edc_veeam .zip file.
  2. Copy the edc_veeam.bat, and then paste the edc_veeam.bat script into any directory on the Veeam server.
  3. From the command line in the Veeam server, run the following command:

    edc_veeam.bat

    A .zip file of the output is saved on the Veeam server.

  4. If you have not already done so, log into the Cloud Services site. For instructions, see Logging into Cloud Services EDC.
  5. Click the Veeam tab.
  6. Under Upload Data, click Upload Now.

    The Upload Files dialog box appears.

  7. In the Company box, enter the name of your organization, and then click Add Files.
  8. In the Choose file to upload box, enter the location of the .zip output file.
  9. Click Submit.
