File Level Analytics - Command Line
File Level Analytics Command Line Operations
File Level Analytics provides two ways to get file information using the command line.
- The preferred way to get this information gives more flexibility by letting you formulate SQL queries in a structured XML file that you read into the qlist backupfiles command. The output of this method is also in structured XML format. This method supports many standard SQL functions, and is described on the File Level Analytics - Command Line - XML page.
- The other way to get File Level Analytics information using the command line is the getbackuplist command, which returns a list of files that were backed up. You specify the parameters of the backup, such as client, backupset and subclient, and the command returns the list of the files, which you can direct into a file with the -outfile option. This method is described on the File Level Analytics - Command Line - CSV page.
