All Jobs by Job Status

The All Jobs by Job Status chart displays the number of jobs in each status type, such as Completed or Killed, that ran during the specified time period.

By clicking on a Job Status section in this chart, you can view the Job Status by Agent Chart, which includes more details about all jobs in that status.

Summary By Job Status Table

This table includes information for jobs in each status type.

Column Description
Job Status The status of jobs. For a complete description, see Job Status Types.
Total Jobs The total number of jobs in each status.
Size of Application The amount of data that was backed up during the job.
Media Size The amount of media that was consumed during the job.
Protected Objects The number of protected objects that were included in the job.
Failed Objects The number of objects that failed to back up. Files backed up with the Exchange Database agent are not included in this count.
Failed Folders The number of folders that failed to back up.

Job Status Types

Job Status Description
Completed Jobs that completed during the specified time.
Completed with Errors Jobs that completed with errors.
Completed with Warnings Jobs that completed with warnings.
Killed Jobs that were killed.
Failed Jobs that failed.
Running Jobs that were running at the time of the report.
Delayed Jobs that were in a status such as Waiting, Pending, Queued, or Suspended at the time of the report.
No Run Jobs that are scheduled to run, but did not run. Possible reasons that scheduled jobs do not run include:
  • Activity is disabled on the client
  • Multiple jobs are scheduled to run at the same time
No Schedule Subclients without any scheduled backup jobs during the specified time range.

Backup Jobs Table

This table lists each backup job that ran on the CommCell during the specified period of time.

Column Description
Job ID The ID that was assigned to the backup job.
Client The name of the client on which the backup job ran.
Virtual Machine The name of the virtual machine. Appears only when Virtual Server is the only agent type selected from the Agents tab. If the Virtual Server option is selected, then the Client, Agent, and Subclient columns do not appear in the table.
Agent The type of agent on which the backup job ran.
Subclient The name of the subclient on which the backup job ran.
Backup Type The type of backup job, such as Full or Incremental.
VM Status The status of the job on the virtual machine. Appears only when Virtual Server is the only agent type selected from the Agents tab. Virtual machines can share job IDs if they are part of the same subclient.
Job Status The status of the job on the subclient.
Size of Application The amount of data that was included in the backup job.
Media Size The amount of media that was consumed by the backup job.
Status The status of the job, such as Completed or Running.
Dedup Savings The percentage of data that was saved through deduplication.

Job Status By Agent Chart

To view this chart, click on a section of pie in the Job Status chart. You can view a chart for each job status type.

This chart displays the number of jobs in the selected status for each agent in the CommCell. The following example shows Completed Jobs by Agents.

By clicking on an Agent Type section in this chart, you can view the Job Status by Agent by Clients Chart, which includes more details about all of the jobs in the selected status for the selected agent type.

Column Description
Agent The type of agent.
Total Jobs The total number of backup jobs that ran for each agent type.
Size of Application The amount of data that was backed up for the agent type.

Job Status Types

Job Status Description
Completed Number of jobs that completed during the specified time.
Completed with Errors Number of jobs that completed with errors.

Unsuccessful Number of jobs that failed.
Running Number of jobs that were running at the time of the report.
Delayed Number of jobs that were in a status such as Waiting, Pending, Queued, or Suspended at the time of the report.
No Run Number of jobs that are scheduled to run, but did not run. Possible reasons that scheduled jobs do not run include:
  • Activity is disabled on the client
  • Multiple conflicting schedules are set for the job
No Schedule Number of subclients without any scheduled backup jobs during the specified time range.

The All Jobs by Agent chart displays the number of backup jobs that ran for each agent type, such as Windows File System or Oracle Database, during the specified time period.
