General Snap Configuration Security  

LSI Array Password

Specify the password to access the LSI array password. If no value is specified, the password will not be authenticated and the snap operation will succeed.

When specified, the password will be authenticated with the SMIS password for successful snap creation. If it does not match the password specified on the array, the snap creation will fail.

SMIS Server Port

Specify the value for array SMIS server port. By default, the value is set to 5988.

Storage Device Group

Specify the name of the hardware device group created on the array to be used for snapshot operations.

Use Device only from this Group

Select this option to use only the snapshot devices available in the storage pool specified in Storage Device Group.

Use secure connection to SMIS Server

Select to connect to the client using secure socket layer (SSL).

Enable HostGroup Mapping

Select the parameter to allow storage volumes mapping to host/cluster group level. It should be used only when the host group/cluster group contains either ESX or Windows hosts.  Applicable for Windows platform only.

LSI OEM vendor ID

Use the parameter to specify the LSI OEM array vendor name if the SnapProtect does not identify the LSI OEM vendor. By default,  it is empty.

LSI OEM Product ID

Use the parameter to specify the LSI OEM array product ID if the SnapProtect does not identify the LSI OEM product ID. By default,  it is empty.

SMIS-S Provider NameSpace

Use the parameter to specify namespace defined by LSI OEM vendor SMI-S provider. By default,  it is empty and LSI SnapProtect uses “root/LsiArray13” namespace.

If you use SMIS-S Provider version 10.34, specify the NameSpace as /root/netapp/santricity and see the following SMS-S CIM ClassName Prefix property.

SMI-S CIM ClassName Prefix

Use the parameter to specify CIM ClassName Prefix defined by LSI OEM vendor SMI-S provider. By default,  it is empty and LSI SnapProtect uses “LSISSI” class name prefix.

If you use SMIS-S Provider version 10.34, specify ClassName as NETAPP and see the preceding SMS-S CIM Provider NameSpace property.
