Stand-Alone Drives - Troubleshooting
A stand-alone drive indicates that the drive requires cleaning.
You must clean the stand-alone drives manually whenever necessary. The Clean Drive option is not available for stand-alone drives (see Drive Cleaning for more information). However, after cleaning the stand-alone drives manually, you must mark the drive as cleaned as described in Mark a Drive as Cleaned. This resets the counters that keep track of the number of drive events that have occurred since the drive was cleaned.
You can overwrite media in situations where the MediaAgent fails to read a media. For example, incompatible data formats, and so on.
- From the CommCell Browser, right-click the appropriate library, and then click Properties.
- Click the Media Usage tab.
- In the Overwrite Media area, select When Content Verification Failed.
- Click OK.
