Update Status of the CommCell

  1. Right-click the <CommServe> node in the CommCell Browser, and then click Properties.
  2. In the CommCell Properties dialog box, click the Version tab.

    The update status for each agent is displayed in the Update Status pane.

Update Status of all the Clients and MediaAgents

  1. From the CommCell Browser, click the Client Computers node.
  2. The Client Status column displays the update status of all the computers in the CommCell.

Update Status of an Individual Client

  1. From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers. Right-click the desired client, and then click Properties.
  2. Click the Version tab to view the update status of the selected client computer.

Description

Unknown Unable to determine the update status of the client. This could be due to the following reasons:
  • Uninstalled client is still listed in the CommCell Console.
  • Internal error due to an invalid CommServe Cache status.
Hotfix Hotfix or diagnostic updates have been installed on the client computer.
Needs Update The client computer must be updated to meet the baseline level of updates. 
Up To Date The updates in the client computer match the baseline.
Ahead of Cache The client computer exceeds the baseline level of updates in the CommServe Update Cache directory.
