Managing Software Cache - CommServe Cache

Table of Contents

Overview

A service pack must be available in the CommServe software cache directory to remotely install it from the CommCell Console.

When you download the service pack, it is first placed in a temporary cache location called the Staging Cache. Once you install the service pack on the CommServe computer, it is automatically moved to the CommServe software cache directory. It is then available for the remote install from the CommCell Console.

The following sections describe how to manage the CommServe Cache.

Configuring the CommServe Cache Directory

  1. From the ribbon in the CommCell Console, click Tools, and then click Add/Remove Software.

    Click Add/Remove Software Configuration.

  2. In the Add/Remove Software Configuration dialog box, click the CommServe Software Cache tab.
  3. In the Please Specify Cache Directory box, type the path or click Browse to select the path where the software packages reside.
