Use this tab to enter, view, or change general information on the selected instance. Enter a valid Repository (Docbase) Name and User Account and click Discover.
Displays the name of the client computer on which this Docbase is found.
Displays the name of the iDataAgent to which this instance belongs.
- Docbase Name
Enter the name of a valid Docbase. This will be the name of the instance. The Docbase is also known as the Documentum repository.
- Docbase Version
Displays the Docbase version that is automatically populated after Discover is selected and the Docbase Name and User Account is successfully validated.
- Docbase Id
Displays the unique ID of the Docbase to which this instance belongs. This is automatically populated after Discover is selected and the Docbase Name and User Account is successfully validated.
- User Account The Documentum iDataAgent requires a user account to log on to the related Documentum docbase to access the data. The user account is the Documentum Install owner account that was used to install the Documentum software.
The account is already set up on the client after the Documentum software installation.
Click Configure Password to access the Enter User Name and Password dialog box to enter or change the User Name and/or Password of the Documentum Install owner account.
- DOCUMENTUM Path
Enter the Documentum installation path. Click Browse to specify or change the designated path.
- DOCUMENTUM_SHARED Path
Enter the path to the Documentum shared folder. Click Browse to specify or change the designated path.
- DM_HOME Path
Enter the path to the Documentum Home directory. Click Browse to specify or change the designated path.
Use this field to enter a description about the entity. This description can include information about the entity's content, cautionary notes, etc.
Click to instruct the Documentum iDataAgent to search for information from Documentum and automatically populate fields, such as Docbase Version, Docbase Id. The Database, Storage Area and FTI tabs are available upon successful discovery operation. This discovery process should be run prior to a backup operation, especially when newer components are added to the Docbase.
