Alerts and Notifications - Alert Rules
Alert rules are user-defined conditions created using SQL queries. After the custom alert rule is created, it is available in the add alert wizard and can be used to create alerts.
Alert rules can be made more flexible by adding user inputs. If the alert rule has user inputs, users can set alert criteria when they use the custom alert rule to create an alert.
