Generating Alert for An Auxiliary Copy Operation
Alerts can be configured to notify you of events that require attention, or as mechanisms to take automated actions based on conditions configured in an alert. An alert is sent when conditions within the entity have met the criteria selected for the alert. The threshold and notification criteria determine when and at what frequency alerts are generated.
- From the CommCell Browser, expand Policies > Storage Policies.
- Right-click the appropriate storage policy, click All Tasks > Run Auxiliary Copy.
- Click Advanced, select the Alert tab and click Add Alert.
An Add Alert Wizard (Job Management - Auxiliary Copy) opens. Follow the instructions in the wizard.
- Click Finish to create the alert.
- Click OK.
