Increasing the Network Bandwidth Utilization on High Bandwidth Delay Product Networks
You can increase the network bandwidth utilization for high Bandwidth Delay Product (BDP) networks to ensure higher throughput for backups and auxiliary copy operations.
Before You Begin
Ensure that the TCP Receive Window Auto Tuning feature is supported on the operating system and is also enabled on the computer on which the MediaAgent is installed.
For more information on verifying the TCP rReceive Window Auto Tuning, see Enable/Disable TCP Receive Window Auto-Tuning.
Turn off the explicit setting of the TCP receive window size by SnapProtect by setting the SDTTailRecvBufSizeInKB additional setting on the MediaAgent. Set the value as zero.
For more information on creating the additional setting, see Add or Modify an Additional Setting.
