Limiting the Number of Concurrent Synthetic Full Jobs Globally

You can limit the number of Synthetic Full Backup jobs that can run concurrently in a CommCell environment by adding the JMSynthFullJobHighWaterMark Additional Setting to your CommServe host.

Perform the steps given in Add or Modify an Additional Setting, using this information:

Setting How Often Synthetic Full Backup Jobs Can Be Run from a Schedule

You can limit how often the system starts up new Synthetic Full Backup jobs that are scheduled to run. The minutesToCheckForAutoSyntheticFulls Additional Setting specifies the interval in minutes for checking whether there is a scheduled Synthetic Full Backup job that should be started. You add this Additional Setting to your CommServe host.
