Creating Search Views in Data Cube
After you have connected to a data source and crawled the data, the system will create a default view of the data. The default search view contains all of the structure of the original data source. If you want to focus on specific parts of your data, you can create a search view to customize how the data is structured. You can create multiple search views of the same data without affecting the data source.
Before You Begin
- You must be able to log in to the Web Console to view Data Cube. See Accessing the Web Console.
- Only users assigned a role with the Data Connectors permission at the MediaAgent level can access Data Cube in the Analytics section of the Web Console. The associated MediaAgent must have been configured with Analytics Engine for Data Cube.
- For information about user permissions for Data Cube, see Configure End-User Permissions for Data Cube.
- For information about configuring the Analytics Engine on a MediaAgent for Data Cube, see Configuring the Analytics Engine for Data Cube.
- You must have connected to at least one data source. See Connect to Data Sources.
- You must have crawled the data source. See Crawling Data Connections.
