Health Report - Data Views

Table of Contents

Configuration

This table provides information about the overall performance of the CommCell based on software version and backup statistics. To view the parameters for the different status types, click on any value in the Status column. For instructions, see View Health Report Parameters.

Parameter Description
CommCell Version Indicates whether the CommCell is installed with the latest service pack. To view the CommCell Version Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
DR Backup Describes the settings that are configured for disaster recovery backups and indicates when the last successful disaster recovery backup job ran. To view the DR Backup Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.

Capacity Planning

This table provides information about the mount paths and disk libraries that are configured for the CommCell. To view the parameters for the different status types, click on any value in the Status column. For instructions, see View Health Report Parameters.

Parameter Description
Mount Path Lists the number of mount paths in each status, based on free space. To view the Mount Path Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Disk Library Growth Lists the number disk libraries in each status, based on estimated days to be full. To view the Disk Library Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Storage Policy Disk Usage Lists the number of storage policy copies in each status, based on free disk space. To view the Storage Policy Disk Usage Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Disk Pruning Indicates the percentage number of blocks that have to be pruned during data aging. To view the Disk Pruning Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.

Client

This table provides information about the overall performance of clients in the CommCell based on installed software, amount of stored data, and backup statistics. To view the parameters for the different status types, click on any value in the Status column. For instructions, see View Health Report Parameters.

Parameter Description
SLA Displays the SLA percentage, or the percentage of clients that have recent backups. To view the 30-Day SLA Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Strike Count The number of subclients that missed one or more backups. To view the Client Strike Count Report, in the Remarks column,  click View Details.
Largest 25 Clients The percentage of application size created by the 25 largest clients in the CommCell environment. To view the Largest 25 Clients Report, in the Remarks column,  click View Details.
Top 25 Growing Clients The number of clients that increased or decreased in size over the last 7 days, the size change for application data over the last 7 days, and the number of clients contributing to the overall size of the CommCell environment. To view the Top 25 Growing Clients Report, in the Remarks column,  click View Details.
Clients completing with errors in last 30 days The number of clients with backup jobs that completed with errors. To view the Clients Completing With Errors in Last 30 Days Report, in the Remarks column,  click View Details.
Subclients without Storage Policy Association The number of subclients that are not associated with a storage policy. To view the Subclients Without Storage Policy Association Report, in the Remarks column,  click View Details.
Clients at 2 versions behind CommServer The number of clients that are installed with a software version that is 2 or more service packs behind the most recent. To see more information, in the Remarks column,  click View Details. This link is available only if there are clients that are two or more releases behind.
Client Statistics Total number of clients, number of active clients, and number of laptop clients. To view the Clients at 2 Versions Behind CommServe Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.

How Strikes Are Calculated

The latest failed or killed backup job on each subclient counts as a strike. Three or more strikes display as three red dots in the report. A successful full backup job resets the strike count to zero.

Job

This table provides information about job success in the CommCell. To view the parameters for the different status types, click on any value in the Status column. For instructions, see View Health Report Parameters.

Parameter Description
Fallen Behind Secondary Copies Overall status of secondary copies based on the number of days the copies are behind. Also includes the number of secondary copies in each status type. To view the Fallen Behind Secondary Copies Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Backup Job Statistics for last 60 days Backup job success rate, number of successful and failed jobs, and the number of jobs completed with errors.
Restore Statistics for last 90 days Restore job success rate on clients, including the number of successful, successful after failed, failed, and killed restore jobs. The Successful after failed jobs count is the number of clients that had a successful restore job after at least one failed restore job in the last 90 days. To view the Restore Statistics for Last 90 Days Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Long Running Backup Jobs for last 1 day Number of jobs that took more than 12 hours to run in the last 24 hours. To view the Top 25 Long Running Backup Jobs Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Top 10 Errors in last 24 hours Status of job errors over the last 24 hours. To view the Top 10 Errors in Last 24 Hours Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Incremental backup change rate for last 7 days The amount that data size changed over the last seven days. To view the Incremental Backup Change Rate for Last 7 Days Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Live Sync Status Indicates the failover status of virtual machines (VMs) configured to use live sync, and the number of VMs in Good, Warning, and Critical status. To view the Live Sync Status Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.

Deduplication

This table provides information about job success in the CommCell. To view the parameters for the different status types, click on any value in the Status column. For instructions, see View Health Report Parameters.

Parameter Description
DDB Performance in last 3 days Deduplication database performance based on the average query and insertion time. To view the DDB Performance in Last 3 Days Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details
DDB Partition counts per MediaAgent Number of MediaAgents with Deduplication database partitions. To view the DDB Partition Counts Per MediaAgent Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
DDB Disk Space Utilization Status of deduplication database path distribution across the available disk space. Also displays the number of DDB paths in each status type. To view the DDB Disk Space Utilization Report, click View Details.
DDB are protected via subclient Number of all deduplication database partitions, and the number that are not protected. To view the DDB Are Protected Via Subclient Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Deduplication Ratio by Storage Policy Copy in last 30 days Indicates the deduplication ratio for the last 30 days of all the storage policy copies in the CommCell. To view the Deduplication Ratio by Storage Policy Copy in Last 30 Days Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.

Indexing and Search

This table provides information about the index and search engines. To view the parameters for the different status types, click on any value in the Status column. For instructions, see View Health Report Parameters.

Parameter Description
Index Cache Location Distribution of the index cache based on location, including the amount of data in each location. To view the Index Cache Location Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Index Cache Space Utilization Distribution of the index cache based on the amount of free space. To view the Index Cache Space Utilization Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.

Excluded indicates offline MediaAgents with a total index cache size of 0.

Index Backup Indicates the status of index backups in the CommCell environment. The count refers to index backup states for each backup set. To view the Index Backup Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Index State Indicates whether the index is up to date or if there is an index error. To view the Index State Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Search Engines Number of search engines or search clouds and their status. To view the Search Engines Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.

Policy

This table provides information about the schedule policies that are configured in the CommCell. To view the parameters for the different status types, click on any value in the Status column. For instructions, see View Health Report Parameters.

Parameter Description
Unused Schedule Policies Number of schedule policies that were not used as of the last data collection. To view the Unused Schedule Policies Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.

Usage Profile

This table provides information about the amount of space consumed by backup and archive jobs. To view the parameters for the different status types, click on any value in the Status column. For instructions, see View Health Report Parameters.

Parameter Description
Capacity License Usage Total amount of data that is currently backed up and the amount of data that is currently archived. To view the License Usage Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
License Usage Number of virtual machines (VMs), VM sockets, archived mailboxes, and  End Point, End Point eDiscovery, and End Point Sharing users in the CommCell. To view the License Usage Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Snap Engine Usage A list of the snap engines that are used by the CommCell. To view the Snap Engine Usage Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.

Value Assessment

This table provides a summary of parameters such as network efficiency, rapid recovery capability, and disk protection tier savings for the CommCell. To view the parameters for the different status types, click on any value in the Status column. For instructions, see View Health Report Parameters.

Parameter Description
Value Assessment Displays a summary status of parameters that determine the overall efficiency of the CommCell. To view each parameter and its status in the Value Assessment Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.

High-Risk Settings

This table provides information about the media management settings that are configured in the CommCell. To view the parameters for the different status types, click on any value in the Status column. For instructions, see View Health Report Parameters.

Parameter Description
Prune All Database Agent Logs Only By Days Retention Rule Indicates whether the Prune All Database Agent Logs Only by Days Retention Rule setting is turned on in the Control Panel. This parameter displays as either Good, when the setting is turned off, or Critical when the setting is turned on.

Scale Statistics

This table provides information about job, media, and database performance in the CommCell. To view the parameters for the different status types, click on any value in the Status column. For instructions, see View Health Report Parameters.

Parameter Description
Scale Statistics Indicates the status of the CommCell environment, based on job performance, data transfer, and the size of the CommServ database. To view the Scale Statistics Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
Database Index Fragmentation Indicates the percentage of indices that are over 30% fragmented in each database on the CommCell computer. The CVCloud, DM2, and WFEngine databases appear in the report. If one of these databases is 25% or more fragmented, then the Critical status displays. To view the Database Index Fragmentation Report, in the Remarks column, click View Details.
