Create an ObjectStore (REST API: PUT)

Description

Use this operation to create an ObjectStore.

Each authorized user can create one ObjectStore.

PUT <webservice>/contentstore?type={storeType} HTTP/1.1
Host: <host name>
Accept: application/xml
Authtoken: <authentication token>

where <webservice> is the root path used to route the API requests to the Web Server.

Name Description Required
storeType Name of your ObjectStore.

After creating an ObjectStore using this storetype, if the user attempts to create additional ObjectStores, the response displays the parameters for the originally created ObjectStore.

Host The host name of the Web Server or Web Console used in the API request.
Accept The format of the response. Valid values are: application/xml or application/json.
Authtoken The authentication token received after successfully logging on. For details on receiving an authentication token, see Authentication.

contentIndexingEnabled Indicates whether content indexing is enabled for the ObjectStore. Valid values are 1 and 0. App_CreateSyncWebFolderResp
dirDelim Indicates the delimiter used for the file path in the ObjectStore. App_CreateSyncWebFolderResp
rootGUID The GUID of the root folder in the ObjectStore. App_CreateSyncWebFolderResp
backupsetId The ID of the auto-created backupset for the ObjectStore. App_CreateSyncWebFolderResp
subclientId The ID of the auto-created subclient for the ObjectStore. App_CreateSyncWebFolderResp
syncWebFolderId The ID of the auto-created sync web folder for the ObjectStore. App_CreateSyncWebFolderResp
syncWebFolderName The name of the auto-created sync web folder for the ObjectStore. App_CreateSyncWebFolderResp
