Downloading, Deploying, and Updating Workflows from the Software Store

If a predefined Workflow is available in the Software Store, you can go to the Software Store to download, deploy, or update the Workflow. After the Workflow is downloaded to your CommCell environment, you can modify it to perform customized tasks. Workflows added to the Software Store can be downloaded at any time. Only Administrators can use the Software Store.

Before You Begin

To log on to the Software Store and download Workflows, you must meet the following requirements:

  • The Web Console package must be installed. For more information about installing the Web Console, see Installing the Web Console. (The Web Console feature is not available via the Download Center on the Cloud Services website.)
  • You must have a user account on the Cloud Services Web site. To create a user account, register your CommServe computer. If you already have a user account, you still might need to register your CommServe computer. For instructions, see Getting Access to the Cloud Services Website.

  • Your user account must be a member of the Master user group on the CommCell computer that hosts the Web Console.

About This Task

Procedure

  1. In the CommCell Browser, click Workflows.
  2. At the top of the Workflows page, click Software Store.

    The log on page appears in your default web browser.

  3. Type your Cloud Services credentials and then click Login.

    The Software Store page appears and lists all of the workflows available for download.

    Note: If you are not redirected to the Software Store page, click Software Store from the My Applications page.

  4. Click a Workflows sub-category, such as All, Basic, Premium, or Proactive Support.

    Note: If you do not see the Workflow category, under Category, click Add-ons and under Sub-Category, click Workflows.

  5. Download, deploy, or manually update workflows:
    • To install a new workflow, next to the workflow name, click Install.

      The Workflow is downloaded and installed on the CommServe computer.

    • To deploy a workflow, next to the Workflow name, click Deploy.

      The Workflow is deployed on the CommServe computer. After deployment, the workflow status is changed to Up To Date on the Software Store page.

      Note: If the Workflow Engine resides on a separate computer, you must deploy the Workflow from the CommCell Console. For instructions, see Deploy a Workflow.

    • To update the workflow to the latest version, next to the Workflow name, click Update.
    • Update all workflows to the latest version, click Update All.

Result

The workflow will appear on the Workflows page and Up-to-date will appear in the Updates column for that workflow.
