Disabling Location Tracking for User Account Activity

By default, the Web Console displays the geographical location of the device used to access the Web Console or other CommCell platforms. If the location is not traceable, the Web Console displays the IP address or host name of the device.

Sometimes, due to no internet connectivity or a location tracking error, the Web Server fails to track the geographical location of the device. In such cases, you can disable the location tracking capability of the Web Server.


  1. To the Web Server computer, add the nLocationTrackingEnabled additional setting as shown in the following table . For instructions on adding additional settings from the CommCell Console, see Add or Modify an Additional Setting.
